Hutton Hotels’ parent company has confirmed it won’t host the Nov. 11 Preserving Freedom conference, which was slated to include some of the nation’s leading opponent of Sharia law.

Steve Eckley, senior vice president of hotels for Amerimar Enterprises, said he wasn’t fully aware of the topic or the people involved when he booked the event in Nashville, and now he fears that resulting protests could turn violent. As well, the hotel’s other clients that day expressed concerns.

William Murray, chairman of the Preserving Freedom conference, responded: “The Hutton Hotel is now under Sharia law.” He said there’s no alternate site at this time, but organizers have been looking for one since a similar event was cancelled in Houston last week. Organizer Lou Ann Zelenik said a new site could be announced as early as tomorrow.

Among the events scheduled speakers are blogger Pamela Geller; Murfreesboro mosque opponent Frank Gaffney and former Republican Congressman Fred Grandy, who played the character Gopher on the popular TV comedy “The Love Boat.”

AFDI/SIOA executive director Pamela Geller, who is scheduled to be a keynote speaker at the conference, noted that Hyatt Hotel Place in Sugar Land, Texas, similarly caved in to Islamic supremacist intimidation last week, canceling an event at which she was speaking.

“The Hyatt was subsequently inundated with calls and emails protesting their surrender to the foes of free speech,” Geller said in a statement. “The Hyatt apologized and promised redress to the Sugar Land Tea Party. The Hutton Hotel has learned nothing from this, and again allowed enemies of free speech to run roughshod over the rights of Americans. This is the second time in no less than a week that a major hotel has capitulated to intimidation and demands to enforce the blasphemy laws under the Sharia here in America.”

Geller called on the Hutton Hotel, at [address redacted], to apologize, reverse its cancellation, and hold AFDI/SIOA sensitivity training sessions to train its employees about the importance of the freedom of speech and the Islamic jihad threat.

“Why is the Hutton Hotel more afraid of fascists and supremacists than they are of losing our cherished freedoms?” asked Geller.

She also called upon free people to boycott the Hutton Hotel until this decision is reversed, and to contact the Hutton Hotel and politely and courteously protest the hotel’s cancellation and capitulation to Islamic supremacism. “Americans must boycott these cowardly enterprises and raise their voices in protest,” said Geller.

And here I thought businesses had the right to decide who they want on their property. Who knew it was all a capitulation to jihad?
